On July 14, 2018, Kyushu Yunjian’s “Lingyun” liquid rocket engine auxiliary system successfully passed the 200-second long-distance test run.

The "Lingyun" liquid rocket engine has a ground thrust of 10 tons and uses liquid oxygen methane propellant. This test has completed many firsts of this type of liquid rocket engine: the engine sub-system level test was completed for the first time; the self-developed methane/oxygen flare electric igniter and the gas generator were successfully used for the joint ignition test for the first time; the 10-ton liquid rocket engine was completed for the first time Full-scale gas generator of oxymethane engine 100% working condition long-distance test run assessment; for the first time, the test and assessment of gas generator adapting to deep variable thrust working condition was completed.
More importantly, this test successfully completed the expected five goals: First, the operating reliability of the gas generator, a key component of the secondary system, was assessed; the second was to verify the compatibility of the flare ignition system with the gas generator; the third was to verify Several kinds of self-developed cryogenic valves work reliability; fourthly, the working sequence of the engine sub-system has been assessed; fifthly, the long-term working reliability of the engine sub-system has been verified.

The auxiliary system of the liquid oxygen methane engine can also be called the turbine working fluid supply system. The secondary systems of this test mainly include independently designed and developed gas generators, flare igniters, main supply valves for liquid methane, main supply valves for liquid oxygen, low-temperature one-way valves, and test tooling.
