Overview of the Flight Test:
The flight test successfully completed eight key operational phases, including ignition and liftoff, full-thrust ascent, thrust vector control adjustment, single engine shutdown, free descent and gliding, secondary engine restart, deceleration to hover over the sea surface, and finally, a soft landing on the ocean.
Based on post-flight data analysis and evaluation against the "Test Plan," the rocket demonstrated normal flight performance, and the splashdown recovery proceeded as planned. The entire mission achieved complete success.
Highlights of the engine during flight testing
The engine of this unit (designated LY70005) completed its calibration test run at the end of 2023, marking the first engine delivered for Longyun's flight operations. During this flight test, the primary assessments conducted were as follows:
01. Wide-range thrust modulation capability of the engine, enabling continuous thrust variation throughout the engine's operation.
02. Engine multiple start capability: After a single shutdown, the engine can restart again within an ultra-short 8-second coasting period under high dynamic pressure.
03. Simple usage and maintenance capability: After static ignition of the full-profile configuration, the system can undergo simple maintenance before directly proceeding to flight tests.
