In June 2019, the gas generator of the "Longyun" high-thrust liquid oxygen-methane engine developed by Jiuzhou Yunjian successfully completed its hot-fire test evaluation. This test marks a significant milestone, indicating that the core components of Jiuzhou Yunjian's high-thrust liquid oxygen-methane engine have entered the engineering test verification phase.
In June 2019, the gas generator of the "Longyun" high-thrust liquid oxygen-methane engine developed by Jiuzhou Cloud Arrow successfully completed its hot-fire test evaluation. This test marks a significant milestone, signaling that the core components of Jiuzhou Cloud Arrow's high-thrust liquid oxygen-methane engine have entered the engineering test verification phase.
Jiuzhou Yunjian adheres to the technological development strategy of "developing one type while simultaneously conducting pre-research on another." As the 10-ton thrust engine "Lingyun" enters the full-scale testing phase, the company has already initiated pre-research work on the 80-ton-class high-thrust engine "Longyun." The "Longyun" engine project was officially approved in February 2019. After multiple rounds of rapid iterations involving rocket trajectory and engine performance parameters, the design specifications for the engine were finalized. Subsequently, the development team, drawing extensively on the valuable experience and advanced technologies gained during the "Lingyun" engine development process, embarked on the design of each key core component for the "Longyun" large-thrust liquid oxygen-methane engine. Notably, the gas generator—the pioneering element of the "Longyun" engine—completed its engineering design, product manufacturing, and test evaluation within just three months, once again demonstrating Jiuzhou's remarkable speed in the development of high-thrust liquid oxygen-methane engines.

It is worth noting that the gas generator used in this test features a torch-type electric ignition system independently developed by Jiuzhou Yunjian and already successfully implemented on the "Lingyun" engine. The test results demonstrate excellent system compatibility and ample ignition margin.
The technical hallmark of the "Lingyun" engine lies in its innovative combination of torch-type electric ignition with advanced deep thrust modulation technology, making it a true engine capable of supporting rocket recovery and reuse. Similarly, the "Longyun" high-thrust engine was designed from the outset with inherent capabilities in both electric ignition and deep thrust modulation, ensuring its versatility and performance potential.
The success of this test marks the successful inheritance and evolution of core technology from the "Lingyun" engine to the "Longyun" engine, signifying another solid step forward for Jiuzhou Yunjian in advancing the modularization, standardization, and serialization of its rocket engine product line. Moreover, the seamless transfer of key core technologies from the "Lingyun" to the "Longyun" engine has significantly shortened the development cycle and reduced overall R&D costs.

In the second half of the year, the team members at Jiuzhou Yunjian will conduct full-engine test evaluations for the "Lingyun" engine. Following these comprehensive tests, the "Lingyun" engine will enter the reliability testing phase. Meanwhile, the larger-thrust 80-ton-class "Longyun" liquid oxygen-methane engine will also undergo sequential test evaluations of its individual components and eventually proceed to full-engine testing in the latter half of the year. Additionally, the reusable and recoverable technology verification rocket platform "Lingxiao," which has already completed its conceptual design, is currently undergoing detailed engineering design and optimization processes.
