Information

Recently, the vacuum version of the Kyushu Yunjian Lingyun liquid oxygen methane engine has completed a reliability hot test assessment. The Lingyun engine has completed a cumulative hot test of 8000s using three products, with a maximum cumulative hot test duration of 5000s for a single engine and a maximum of 30 starts per engine. The reliability of the Lingyun engine product has been fully verified and assessed.

This year, the supporting Lingyun engine for flight has been delivered to customers and has participated in and passed ground test assessments. The subsequent engines delivered in small quantities are being assembled and Test effort in succession.

As of now, the Lingyun engine has undergone a series of assessments, with a focus on more than ten deep variable thrust hot test evaluations, three starts+variable thrust two in one hot test evaluations, ± 8 ° bidirectional swing hot test evaluations, double subcooled propellant test evaluations, continuous long range hot test evaluations, and flight mission profile multi cycle assessments.

After the above hot test run assessment, the maturity of Lingyun engine technology and products is increasing, and the potential for engineering applications is gradually unleashed, attracting the attention of multiple rocket customers.

The vacuum version of the Lingyun engine is based on the Lingyun engine and achieved by increasing the nozzle area ratio. The entire engine has undergone sufficient reliability verification. Currently, the V1 version has measured a vacuum thrust of 12.5 tons and a specific impulse of 341 seconds. At the same time, the engine area ratio can be further increased according to customer needs to improve the vacuum specific impulse in the future.

The vacuum version of the Lingyun engine (LY-10V) using liquid oxygen methane propellant has significant characteristics such as low cost, high performance, and high reliability, making it the best choice for the upper stage active power of rockets.
